Rabat-Salé (RBA) is a compact airport serving Morocco's administrative capital. It is quick to cross, but its flight offer is thinner than Casablanca's.
Taxi: the most direct way to Rabat-Agdal, Hassan or the medina. Agree the fare before boarding a grand taxi, or use the official desk.
Bus + tramway: a bus to Salé, then the Salé-Rabat tramway across the Bouregreg to Rabat-Ville and Agdal.
Car rental: desks in arrivals, handy for Kénitra or Moulay Bousselham.
Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia Maroc carry most traffic, with Transavia France and TUI fly Belgium. Main routes are Paris-Orly, Brussels, Barcelona, Marseille, Lyon and Bordeaux. There is virtually no long-haul from RBA — North America, sub-Saharan Africa and the Gulf almost always require Casablanca.
Casablanca Mohammed V has far more flights and fares often €40–100 lower. The Al Boraq high-speed train links Casablanca to Rabat in about 50 minutes.
Simple rule: if the fare gap exceeds €40 per person, fly into CMN and take the train. Below that, RBA wins on convenience.
Prices spike from late June to early September, during French school holidays and around Eid — book 3 months ahead. February–March and October–November are the best value, with pleasant 18–24°C weather in Rabat.
